Data Description
Commissioning Support Units (CSU) and Data Services for Commissioners Regional Offices (DSCROs) and their Sites.
The data contains DSCROs and DSCRO sites, CSUs (of which, some are Data Management and Integration Centres (DMICs)) and CSU Sites.
DMICs will collate commissioning intelligence pertaining to a number of Sub ICB Locations and provide this to other elements of the health service infrastructure including other CSUs. The structure of DMICs is varied; some are hosted by a subset of the CSUs; others are stand-alone organisations. A sub-type/non primary role of RO215 has been applied to relevant CSUs to identify them as having the role of DMIC.
How Data is Maintained
As hosts of the CSUs until April 2016, NHS England provided ODS with the initial set of reference data for CSUs. However, following the publication of this initial set of CSU reference data, ODS now relies on the individuals and organisations that are assigned the codes, to advise them of any changes in the details to the DSCROs or CSU parents.
