Data Description
Pharmacy Sites (a form of COVID vaccination site). Each Pharmacy Site is linked to one parent Pharmacy / Dispensary at a given time. For pharmacy sites, it is possible for a site code to be re-parented if the operator of that COVID vaccination site changes from one pharmacy/dispensary to another (and that has been approved by the national COVID vaccination programme). In this scenario, the 'is operated by' relationship to the current parent pharmacy record will be end dated and a new 'is operated by' relationship to the new parent pharmacy will be added.
Note: there is no legacy .csv file for Pharmacy Sites, this is a new organisation type that was created specifically for COVID vaccination sites operated by Pharmacies. Pharmacy site data is available via all contemporary ODS products (ODS Data Search and Export and the ODS API suite).
How Data is Maintained
Requests for new pharmacy site codes must be submitted to the national COVID vaccination programme and then passed to ODS by the programme once approved/designated as a vaccination site.
Equally, updates/amendments to any existing pharmacy site codes (name change, address change, re-parent request or closure) are sent to ODS via the COVID vaccination programme on a daily basis. ODS cannot accept any requests for change directly from the site or parent pharmacy.

Legacy .csv File Mapping
Pharmacy Site codes were introduced to support COVID vaccinations and so there is no legacy .csv file for this organisation type. Data was initially published via API and the ODS Portal, and will now be available via the ODS FHIR R4 API and as a user defined report/query within the ODS Data Search and Export tool.
